THE LIBRARY
The heart and the soul of any educational institution, the library which has been shifted in the Annex Building in the last academic session comprises a large area for shelving books, earmarked area for librarians and references, reading room for students and staff, lobby. In the 2022-23 academic session the library has 29001 books, a few journal and periodicals subscription in its possession. Moreover, the library is equipped with modern facilities like KOHA Library Management Software. Online membership of British Council Library is also available. Sincere efforts are on to upgrade the library with more online facilities like creation of online resource centre, registration in N-List
Utilizing The Alternative Sources of Energey
The institution has Solar panels installed in the College premise since 2007. The purpose is to illuminate the campus during the night without consuming conventional source of electrical energy. Unfortunately the system is not functioning properly since the lockdown period and efforts are on to renovate and to enhance the entire system by a 5 kw installation. The college also constructed a rudimentary infrastructure for rain water harvesting in 2007. Enlargement and refinement of rain water harvesting is also in consideration with the objective to address the issue of water lodging in a part of ground floor after torrential rain.
